Hi there! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend! Mine was lovely – it was spent at the lake with family eating good food, chasing my puppy around, and staying up way too late. While the weekend was fun, I for one am so tired of this rainy, gloomy weather. That said, can we all take a moment to look at the weather forecast for this week?!
Hello Pretty Sunshine!! Now that we have given the appropriate amount of respect to this week’s weather, it’s time to talk about Easter flowers! I am kicking off ‘Simply Southern Says’ looking at some beautiful Easter arrangements. The great thing about these floral combinations is that they can be used as inspiration for Spring and Summer wedding flowers as well!
While I am a lover of pretty much any kind of flower, I am not an expert. Luckily, the fabulous Stacey from Willow Branch Flowers and Design is! She was kind enough to share some photos of her past bouquets and arrangements and they are beautiful! So, without further ado, let’s look at some flowers!
How gorgeous are these pastel bouquets? I love the use of pale pink flowers – very refreshing! Hydrangea with roses always look so abundant as well!
I also love the idea of using bright, bold colors when decorating for Easter. The weather has (hopefully) finally turned a corner and these feel so cheery!
Stacey also suggested the idea of using a vase within a vase. You can fill the outer container with a variety of things. Maybe easter eggs or jelly beans? Or even Peeps?!
Is that not the cutest thing? Plus, it’s edible! Good thing calories don’t count on holidays. 😉
These mossy arrangements would be so pretty as a centerpiece!
Last, but most certainly not least, how stunning is this? I love this take on a spring wreath. This would look amazing on your front door all spring long!
Well, I hope you all had as much fun as I did looking at these flowers! Hopefully they provided some inspiration – there’s nothing better than fresh flowers in the house. Or Peeps.
Make sure to check back Friday for Erin’s ‘Friday Find’!
